Bhopal, Sep 29 (SocialNews.XYZ) The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has accorded approval to proposals amounting to approximately Rs 24,500 crore.
The package includes revised estimates, ongoing schemes and new works. A key decision is the sanction of the 105-kilometre Damoh-Katni road project at a cost of Rs 4,470 crore.
The highway, listed in the party’s manifesto, will strengthen connectivity across the Bundelkhand region and beyond.
In the health sector, the Cabinet cleared a revised estimate of Rs 372 crore for the Singrauli medical college hospital. The revision will add beds and create capacity for an additional 150 MBBS seats, supplementing the existing 150-seat facility.
Similarly, the revised cost estimate for the Chhindwara Institute of Medical Sciences was approved, raising the earlier figure of Rs 768 crore to Rs 953 crore. The enhanced allocation is intended to meet all pending requirements and enable early completion of the project.
The Cabinet also decided that high-quality uniforms will be provided to 58 lakh students studying in Classes 1 to 8.
Earlier plans for uniform distribution have been upgraded to ensure better quality standards.
In a significant administrative measure, the School Education Department has completed nearly 900 long-pending compassionate appointments after a special drive.
The Cabinet has directed all other departments to clear similar pending cases without delay. These decisions form the core outcomes of the Cabinet meeting and are aimed at accelerating infrastructure development, expanding medical education and healthcare facilities and improving educational support for school children across the state.
Earlier, on September 22, the Madhya Pradesh Council of Ministers, meeting under the chairmanship of CM Mohan Yadav at the Mantralaya, had approved financial proposals worth approximately Rs 13,790 crore aimed at giving fresh impetus to infrastructure development, agricultural expansion and administrative strengthening across the state.
